THE CULT OF THE GOD IS A SPECIAL GIFT FROM FØDT FOR THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA

This newcomer band in the archipelago's underground music scene with the melodic black metal genre has successfully released their second album and launched it on August 14, 2022, which in a few days will mark the independence day of this country, namely the Republic of Indonesia with the title Kultus Sang Dewa. The band, which is fronted by five personnel, is arguably a pioneer in the Indonesian black metal music movement because in less than a year it has been productive by releasing 2 full albums, 1 album with the attribute "a tribute to my inspiration", collaborating with metal bands in compilations and split albums. . And recently they will also collaborate with foreign bands and the USA is the country they choose in the title of a 2 way split album which will later be released in two countries.

The launch of the album titled Kultus Sang Dewa under the presentation of the Emperor (horror overhang) was proudly a success. Because this event was attended by cross-genre bands. Starting from Punk, Grindcore, Death Metal, Black Metal, Gothic Metal to Speed ​​Metal. This indicates that underground music activists in East Java in particular and Indonesia generally support each other and are well established. It was proven by the Emperor event launching the FøDT Kultus Sang Dewa album that went smoothly and harmoniously because throughout this event there was no visible friction and tended to be conducive to safety and peace.

With the large number of metalheads who came, it didn't make the atmosphere look chaotic, but instead saw the togetherness between metalheads across genres of various ages. An atmosphere like this invites us to flashback to the 90s era where every metal event that was present was booming and conducive. Actually beyond the predictions of the organizers. Because the tickets provided by the organizers turned out to be more than the capacity of the venue. It can be seen that the venue, which is located in East Surabaya, is crowded, dominated by metalheads dressed in black. as if indicating that east surabaya it was dark and the weather seemed to indicate that the universe had blessed it.

The launching event on Sunday, August 14, 2022, was used as a gathering place for rock music activists, which was attended by more than 20 bands as well as metalhead maniacs. As a result, the event left a memory that will always be remembered by those who came because of the treats displayed by bands whose performances were truly extraordinary. They perform their best actions on stage with totality and quality. Fellow metalheads pranced to each other following the beat of the musical arrangements presented by the bands one by one.

The enthusiasm of the residents who passed the highway in front of the venue that was held was very large. It was proven that the passersby slowed down their vehicles even though they were just looking at the performance. The traffic flow slowed down a bit but it didn't cause congestion because the road in front of the venue was a bit narrow and one-way. Until the end of the performance, the condition of the venue and East Surabaya in particular remained conducive and safe, leaving a memorable memory for each individual who attended.
